Community Announcement - Volunteers needed
7 October 2011
Do you have basic computer skills? Do you have any spare time? Do you have an interest in volunteering with seniors? Are you patient and articulate?
If you answered ‘yes’ to all of the above questions then Leanne O'Neill, the Lifestyle Services Manager at IRT Moruya and IRT Crown Gardens in Batemans Bay, would like to speak to you.
IRT Moruya and IRT Crown Gardens Care Centres both have a resident computer kiosk, but unfortunately no volunteer tutors to provide residents with support and basic computer skills.
Volunteer tutors need only to have basic computer skills, and all training and support material is provided. Kiosk hours are flexible and tutors can contribute as much or as little time as they like.
All prospective volunteers must have a criminal history background check prior to starting. This is done by IRT at no cost to the applicant.
If you are interested in volunteering, phone Leanne O'Neill on 0400 506 084.
