IRT has 6 High Care Residential Facilities (nursing homes) in Woonona, Towradgi, St Georges Basin, Culburra, Milton and Dalmeny.

High care facilities or nursing homes provide 24 hours a day nursing care. As a resident of high care, registered nurses are on hand to support resident's ongoing needs, physiotherapy, diversional therapy (recreational and social activities) and podiatry services are all available.

Respite services are available at IRT's high care villages. to provide assistance to carers. Similarly to residents, all respite clients must be assessed bythe Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). The level of care required for residents is based on an assessment by the ACAT funded by the Commonwealth Government.

Each of IRT's high care facilities provides an environment which ensures the safety of residents and staff, and every effort is made to maintain a homelike atmosphere.

To apply for accommodation in one of our High Care Facilities contact our Accommodation and Customer Service Team for the application process. This form will need to be returned to our Accommodation and Customer Service Team with a copy of the Aged Care Assessment.
