Frequently asked questions

Yes, absolutely! All you need to do is go to reception and sign your loved one or family member in and out. There’s a book at reception for you to do this.

Your family and friends are welcome to visit you and be part of our community. You might also like to go on social outings with them or stay in touch via a private phone and internet connection in your suite.

We work hard to involve your family and friends in our communities with special events and regular communication so that you stay connected with loved ones.

Leisure and lifestyle activities vary depending on the aged care centre, but they will be covered as part of your orientation once you move in. A staff member from our Lifestyle team will chat to you about you or your loved one’s interests, share what’s available and provide you with an activity calendar.

Most of our aged care centres offer games such as bingo, trivia, arts or ball games as well as bus outings and themed days. We also offer both group activities and individual activities tailored to your needs and interests.

At IRT, we offer a range of aged care services to make your life easier and more enjoyable at our communities. These vary from centre to centre, but may include things such as a community centre, library, café or hair salon.

You can find out what’s available by checking the individual website for your aged care centre or by asking our friendly staff, either at your aged care centre or by calling 134 478.

The size of our aged care suites varies from centre to centre and within each aged care community, so check with your IRT Sales Consultant.

Most IRT Aged Care Centres feature an outdoor or BBQ area, garden or courtyard, but this really varies so please check the relevant aged care centre website for specific features and the image gallery. You can also find this out on your tour of the community from our Sales team.

This varies from community to community, so your best way to find out is by contacting site reception. If you’re unsure of how to do this, please email customerservice@irt.org.au or call 134 478 and we can help you.

Please contact reception at your aged care centre. If you’re unsure of how to reach them, please email customerservice@irt.org.au or call 134 478 and we can help you get in touch.

Pets can’t live in our aged care centres, but we love for them to visit. If you’re leaving a much-loved pet, ask a family member or friend to take you to visit them or share photos and videos to keep you involved.
