An important update about IRT Culburra Aged Care Centre

Dear family member/resident representative,

I am writing to let you know that we have several cases of COVID-19 in the Banksia and Waratah wings at your loved one’s care centre.

In response to these positive cases, we have implemented our outbreak management plan, which includes a range of infection control protocols to minimise the risk of the virus spreading within the care centre.

We have also implemented a routine testing regime to ensure we detect any other cases as soon as possible. If your loved one returns a positive result, we will let you know by phone and continue to provide you with a daily update regarding their progress.

Visiting arrangements

If you do continue with your plans to visit the care centre, the following arrangements apply:

• All visitors to the care centre must provide proof of a negative rapid antigen test before entry, which has been completed within the last 72 hours. They will also be asked to wear a P2/N95 mask and face shield at all times.

• In addition, anyone visiting covid positive residents will be asked to wear a gown.

This PPE will be provided when entering the care centre.

As always please do not visit your loved one if you are experiencing any symptoms or are feeling unwell, even if the symptoms are mild. Even if you have a negative COVID-19 test result you may still have a contagious respiratory infection.
