An update about IRT Diment Towers Aged Care Centre

27 July 2022

Dear family member/resident representative,

I am writing to provide you with an update about your loved one’s aged care centre.

Since my message to you on Monday I am pleased to let you know that the results of PCR tests conducted on Monday, were all negative.

Several more residents have reached their recovery criteria, while eleven residents are still managing a range of symptoms. Residents are deemed recovered when they have reached 10 days since testing positive and have been 24 hours without symptoms.

We are in consultation with the GPs of the residents who are still experiencing symptoms and continue to monitor them closely.

Another round of PCR tests will be conducted today for residents who have not yet tested positive. I will provide you with another update on Friday when I hope to provide you with information regarding our transition out of outbreak conditions in the following days.

Until then all residents are still encouraged to limit their movement in the care centre and meals will continue to be served in their rooms.

Visiting arrangements

Until we are certain that the current risk of COVID-19 within the care centre has passed, the centre remains closed to all visitors with the exception of those who assist with essential care including help with meals; and by special arrangement with the Care Manager.

Please pass this message on to others as you consider appropriate and if you have any questions please contact your Care Manager.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Yours sincerely

Nia Briguglio
