Dear family member/resident representative,
Thank you for your support as we continue to manage your loved one’s aged care centre in accordance with our outbreak management plan.
Unfortunately we have had one additional positive case since my last message to you. The resident is being cared for in their room by our staff and is experiencing mild symptoms.
Our other positive residents continue to recover well and are stable, experiencing a range of symptoms from none to moderate. As I mentioned to you in my previous message, some are due to reach their recovery criteria this week and will be able to leave isolation once they are reviewed by the clinical team.
All residents at the centre (other than those who had already tested positive) will be tested again today via the PCR method. I will inform you of the results in my next update on Wednesday, however you will be contacted by the aged care centre by phone if your loved one does return a positive result.
Our Lifestyle team are delivering treat bags, including lollies and chips, to residents today and are continuing with their one on one visits.
Visiting arrangements
A reminder that you are encouraged to postpone any plans to visit. If you do continue with your plans please assist staff with the following arrangements.
Please do not visit if you are unwell yourself, with even the mildest symptoms. Symptoms of respiratory infection can indicate a range of contagious viruses including COVID-19 and influenza.
Please pass this message on to others as you consider appropriate and if you have any questions please contact your Care Manager.
Thank you for your co-operation.
Yours sincerely,
Nia Briguglio
