An update about IRT Tarrawanna Aged Care Centre

Dear family member/resident representative,

Thank you for your ongoing support.

I’m pleased to let you know that three more of our residents who were diagnosed with COVID-19 are now considered recovered.

We are now caring for 10 residents with COVID-19 at the care centre and while many are on the path to recovery, some remain challenged by their symptoms. We are monitoring all residents closely in consultation with the Virtual Community Care team.

Today residents and staff will be tested again and while I know this is uncomfortable for all, I am so grateful for their patience and assistance with this process.

I will provide you with an update tomorrow regarding the results and if they remain pleasingly negative, my next update to you will be on Monday.

While we have had a period of respite from positive results, and residents reaching the recovery criteria, we remain as vigilant as ever and focussed on ensuring all our infection control protocols are in place.

Yesterday our residents enjoyed receiving their hand-made cards created by the children of Bungalow Early Learning Centre. Our staff also shared with our residents the video made by the children, and there were several requests for replays.
