Dear family member/resident representative,
I am pleased to let you know that we are on track with the phases of our Transition Plan and today are looking forward to welcoming home our residents who have been staying in Lawrence Hargrave Hospital.
As I indicated in my email on Friday, today residents were able to join together for breakfast in the dining room, and we look forward to seeing our returning residents there for meals throughout the day. In preparation for the first meals together, staff have decorated the tables and dining room with flowers for the occasion.
We are prepared to implement all other phases in the Transition Plan and I am confident we are on track to returning to our pre-outbreak activity by the end of the week commencing 22 November. For your convenience I have included the link to the plan again here.
As I indicated to you on Friday, this will include a resumption of visiting to the centre from next Monday 15 November, in line with the NSW Chief Health Officer’s directions. I will confirm with you further details about this later this week.
Essential visits will be permitted from tomorrow for those who previously assisted their loved ones with essential elements of their care such as personal care and meals. If you were an approved essential visitor prior to the COVID-19 outbreak the Care Manager will have been in touch with you to discuss the requirements for your return to the Centre.
Tomorrow all enquiries will be directed back to the centre via Reception, but until then if you have any questions or concerns please contact our Customer Service Team on 134 478.
Thank you for your ongoing support. I will be in touch with you again later this week to provide you with another update.
Yours sincerely
Nia Briguglio
