Dear family member/resident representative,
I am writing to provide you with an update about your loved one’s aged care centre.
I am pleased to advise that the test result from the Lyrebird resident who was experiencing COVID-type symptoms was negative.
The test results for the Rosella and Lorikeet residents were also negative, as were the results for the isolating residents in other areas of the centre.
However we are still waiting on the test results for the rest of the Lyrebird residents at this time.
Staff continue to support residents who are isolating in their rooms, and working hard to keep them comfortable and entertained, with games, puzzles and other activities. We are also playing music throughout the centre.
Visiting Arrangements
Rosella, Lorikeet and Lyrebird remain closed to visitors, and residents from these areas are unable to leave the centre for any reason, other than for medical care.
Restricted visiting remains in place for the rest of the centre – with one visitor over 12 years of age allowed per day.
To arrange a visit, please call our Customer Service Team on 134 478 between 9am and 5pm.
Visitors will need to wear additional PPE, including P2/N95 masks and eye protection, and undertake a Rapid Antigen Test.
It is essential that visitors wear their PPE at all times while in the centre.
Please do not remove your mask or your face shield for any reason. Do not eat or drink while on site, and do not kiss your loved one.
Removing your PPE puts you and your loved one at risk of infection, and PPE breaches can result in the centre being completely closed to visitors by the health authorities.
Therefore visitors who do not abide by these important infection control measures will be asked to leave the site.
Please continue to show our staff kindness and respect at this difficult time.
As always, I encourage you to pass on this update to other family members as you consider appropriate.
Thank you once again for your cooperation.
Yours sincerely,
Nia Briguglio
