Dear family member/resident representative,
You might recall that I wrote to you in November last year to provide you with an update regarding IRT’s purchase of property referred to as Milton Meadows.
The 15 hectare property (currently referred to as Milton Meadows) is located south of Milton and west of Mollymook and its purchase came with approved plans for the construction of retirement living and aged care centre.
At the time I indicated that by now we would have made further progress regarding our internal review of the approved plans and had hoped to meet with you to discuss this along with our analysis of plans to redevelop your loved one’s aged care centre.
My intention to do this remains, however due to a number of other business priorities we have been unable to make as much progress as planned and I am not yet in a position to update you with any material information.
I understand this may be unsettling for some but I assure you we remain committed to talking with you to hear your concerns, answer questions and seek your input as well as that of your loved one.
Is there a timeline yet for the Milton Meadows development?
The review of our plans is a preliminary step only and nothing will be finalised before we have consulted with you, your loved one and our staff.
As outlined last year, when plans are finalised, given the potential size of the project and our desire to incorporate unique features for ageing in place the estimate is that, when approved, construction will be phased over a 10 year period.
I hope to be in touch again in the near future with information about meeting with you and your loved one.
