An update about William Beach Gardens Aged Care Centre at IRT Kanahooka

Dear family member/resident representative,

Thank you for your support as we have managed the risk of COVID-19 in the Elouera Cottage of your loved one’s aged care centre.

Today I am pleased to let you know that all residents in the Elouera Cottage are well and there have been no further positive results from our precautionary testing conducted over the weekend.

With this good news and with both residents who were earlier diagnosed with COVID-19, now deemed fully recovered, the outbreak is considered resolved.

Having reached this milestone residents in the cottage are no longer encouraged to remain in their rooms, and regular group activities will begin.

Visiting arrangements

The staff and I are grateful to those who visited during the outbreak period and supported the care centre by wearing their PPE correctly.

Please remember, all visitors must enter the care centre through the main entrance at reception only as visitors are required to complete a rapid antigen test (or show proof of a negative result) and complete the wellness questionnaire before entering the care centre.

Do not visit if you are feeling unwell, even if the symptoms are mild. Even if with a negative COVID-19 test result you may still have another type of contagious infection.
