For those studying in a classroom/virtual classroom environment :
Like choosing any area of study, the choice is a personal one for you to make. Australian food businesses must employ at least one food safety supervisor on each premises. By completing this skill set, you will ensure that food is safely prepared and served to rooms and dining rooms.
One day per fortnight over an 10-month period with a mixture of virtual and face-to-face classes held at IRT Academy in Wollongong.
No formal work placement hours are required, but there are workplace assessments. These are on-the-job observations completed by an accredited IRT Academy trainer and they generally take place at the person’s place of work.
