IRT Academy, as part of the IRT Group, have been a registered training organisation since 1997, delivering accredited and non-accredited Aged and Community Care courses.

Our expert Educators have extensive experience working in the industry and training Aged and Community Care staff.

Greg has extensive management experience in both business and not for profit sectors. This experience is supported by management and education qualifications. A passion for innovation, co-design and customer experience underpin his management philosophy and approach.

Bailey is the first point of contact for all IRT Academy enquiries and is integral in ensuring your student journey is a smooth one. Bailey brings with her a passion for engaging with teams of people and customers alike and is driven to achieve the goals of the Academy and effectively support the experience of our students.


Naomi Heylin

Solutions Manager

Naomi is a graphic designer specialising in informational design, with 9 years experience in learning and development. As an instructional designer for IRT Academy, Naomi is heavily involved with developing and maintaining IRT Academy’s online learning management system. Naomi finds working in the aged care industry very rewarding and is passionate about creating an engaging and intuitive online learning experience for aged care students.

Malin Shooks

Client Projects Manager

Malin is an instructional designer at IRT Academy focusing on designing engaging, compliant and interesting learning content. With more than 10 years experience in the area of learning and development she has been involved in creating both online learning and facilitation material. The theoretical background includes a Masters in Production Engineering, Certificate IV in Work, Health and Safety and Training and Assessment and a Diploma in Leadership and Management. In her current role at IRT Academy she enjoys working closely with subject matter experts and end users to ensure the delivery of high quality learning programs. 


Phil Benson

RTO Compliance Manager

With a background in travel and tourism, Phil began his career in vocational education in 2001. After a period of time living in Ireland Phil returned to Australia where he continued his work in education as a VET Coordinator. Phil has been with IRT Academy now for over 2 years having commenced as Operations Coordinator in early 2015. Now employed in the role of Compliance Manager, Phil has been heavily involved in developing the training and assessment material for their accredited qualifications. In addition Phil continues to fulfill his passion for teaching providing training in both the Diploma of Leadership and Management and the Certificate IV in Leadership and Management.
