Important information about IRT Culburra Beach Aged Care Centre

01 March 2022

Dear family member/resident representative,

Thank you for your ongoing support as we manage the risk of COVID-19 transmission at your loved one’s aged care centre.

I am pleased to let you know that since writing to you last week the aged care centre remains stable.

Results of the rapid antigen tests conducted on residents yesterday were all negative. As per guidance from the NSW Public Health Unit, we will test residents again tomorrow. I will keep you informed of the result.

We continue to care for two residents with COVID-19 at the care centre. They are experiencing a range of symptoms from none at all to mild and are being closely monitored by staff.

Visiting arrangements

The centre remains open to visitors as per the arrangements outlined for NSW Aged Care Centres here.

As I wrote to you in my last message, we do however urge that you reconsider your need to visit and, if not possible, to exercise caution if a scheduled visit must go ahead.

All visitors must follow the advice of staff throughout their visit due to some changes in walking through certain areas of the care centre.

Please do not visit the care centre if you are unwell or experiencing any symptoms, or if you are awaiting the result of a PCR test.

If you have any questions, please speak with your Care Manager.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we maintain our focus on the health and safety of your loved one.

Yours sincerely,

Nia Briguglio
