Dear family member/resident representative,
I am writing to let you know that a resident in Shoalhaven Court at your loved one’s aged care centre has tested positive to COVID-19 via a rapid antigen test today.
The resident, who is experiencing some mild symptoms and is fully vaccinated, is now being cared for by our staff in their room. We have been in contact with their family.
As an additional precaution, all residents in Shoalhaven Court will be rapid antigen tested today. Following this, we will determine a testing regime for residents with guidance from the NSW Public Health Unit and I will inform you of this.
I understand that this news maybe concerning, but please know we are acting now as a matter of precaution to ensure the risk of transmission is reduced at the care centre.
Visiting arrangements
With an increase in the risk of COVID-19 exposure at the centre, we strongly encourage you to reconsider the need to visit your loved one.
If you feel you must continue with your scheduled visit please proceed with caution. If visiting a loved one please do so only in their room, wearing all necessary PPE at all times.
Please do not visit the care centre if you are unwell with even the mildest symptoms, or if you are awaiting the result of a PCR test.
