Important information about IRT Culburra Beach Aged Care Centre

08 April 2022

Dear family member/resident representative,

Thank you for your ongoing support as we manage the risk of COVID-19 at your loved one’s aged care centre.

Since writing to you last week to inform you that a resident in Shoalhaven Court had tested positive to COVID-19, I am pleased to let you know that the aged care centre has remained stable.

We conducted day 9 rapid antigen tests today on residents in Shoalhaven Court and they have all returned a negative result.

We continue to care for one positive resident who is recovering well. We expect that they will be declared clinically recovered in the coming days.

All other residents at the aged care centre remain well and are not displaying any symptoms of COVID-19. They are being cared for by our staff who are ensuring the day to day running of the care centre continues.

Visiting arrangements

As I previously wrote to you, we strongly encourage you to reconsider the need to visit your loved one at this time of increased exposure at the care centre.

If you feel you must continue with your scheduled visit please proceed with caution. If visiting a loved one please do so only in their room, wearing all necessary PPE at all times.

Please do not visit the care centre if you are unwell with even the mildest symptoms, or if you are awaiting the result of a PCR test.

For all other details of our visiting requirements for NSW aged care centres please see here.

If you have any questions please contact your Care Manager.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Yours sincerely,

Nia Briguglio
