Important information about IRT Greenwell Gardens Aged Care Centre

23 February 2022

Dear family member/resident representative,

I am writing to provide you with an update on your loved one’s aged care centre.

I am pleased to let you know that the results of the PCR tests conducted on residents in Crookhaven House over the weekend were all negative.

Our COVID-19 positive resident has also now reached their recovery criteria and has received clearance to join the rest of the care centre outside of their room.

With this pleasing news, and in consultation with the NSW Public Health Unit, we are able to ease a number of restrictions in place including a resumption of visiting to all areas of the care centre.

Visiting the care centre

From tomorrow, visiting can resume to all areas of the care centre. Residents are able to have two visitors per day by appointment only.

Visitors must wear additional PPE at all times while in the centre, including P2/N95 masks and eye protection.

Visitors must go to reception on arrival to complete a wellness screening, including to provide evidence of a negative PCR or an IRT-conducted rapid antigen test from the past 72 hours. If you do not have evidence of a negative test, you will be required to undertake a rapid antigen test (supplied by IRT) prior to entry.

Please do not visit the care centre if you are feeling unwell with even the mildest symptoms, or are awaiting the result of a PCR test.

Other details regarding visiting arrangements can be found here.

Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding.

Yours sincerely

Nia Briguglio
