Dear family member/resident representative,
I am writing to provide you with an update about your loved one’s aged care centre.
We have been informed of a COVID-19 exposure in Callala House and Currarong House at the aged care centre. With the increased risk of transmission in the community, we are now acting as a matter of precaution to ensure the level of risk at the care centre is reduced.
As a precaution, all residents in Callala House and Currarong House at the aged care centre have been rapid antigen tested and pleasingly have returned a negative result. In line with guidance from the NSW Public Health Unit, residents will be tested again throughout the week. I will keep you informed of the results.
All of our residents remain well and are not displaying any COVID-19 symptoms. Staff will continue to support and monitor them closely.
Visiting arrangements
With the increased risk of COVID-19 exposure at the aged care centre, we strongly encourage you to reconsider the need to visit your loved one.
If you feel you must continue with your scheduled visit please proceed with caution. If visiting a loved one please do so only in their room, wearing all necessary PPE at all times.
Please do not visit if you are unwell with even the mildest symptoms, or if you are awaiting the result of a PCR test.
For all other details of our visiting requirements for NSW aged care centres please see here, which will be updated from 8 April.
You are receiving this message as you have been identified as the person responsible for your loved one. Please pass this message on to others as you consider appropriate and if you have any questions please contact your Care Manager.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Yours sincerely,
Nia Briguglio
