Dear family member/resident representative,
Thank you for your ongoing support as we manage the risk of COVID-19 at your loved one’s aged care centre.
Since writing to you last week, I am pleased to let you know that the aged care centre remains stable.
As you know we are caring for two positive residents, one who has now reached their recovery criteria. The other resident is doing well and is approaching their recovery period in the coming days.
Precautionary COVID-19 testing on all other residents has continued to return a negative result so far. As per the directions from the NSW Public Health Unit, residents will have their final day 12 test tomorrow.
With this pleasing news, we will be able to ease a number of precautionary measures at the care centre and begin the transition to operating out of outbreak in the coming days.
Visiting arrangements
From tomorrow, visiting can resume at the aged care centre with residents able to have two visitors per day by appointment only.
While the risk of transmission has been significantly reduced, it is not gone completely and we still ask you to exercise caution if deciding to proceed with a visit to the care centre.
You can find all other details of visiting arrangements here, including the need to wear a P2/N95 mask and eye protection at all times while in the care centre.
All visitors must sign in at reception and complete a mandatory wellness screening, including a rapid antigen test prior to entry.
Please do not visit the care centre if you are unwell with even the mildest symptoms, or if you are awaiting the result of a PCR test.
Please pass this message on to others as you consider appropriate and if you have any questions please contact your Care Manager.
Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding
Yours sincerely,
Nia Briguglio
