Dear family member/resident representative,
Since writing to you on Monday, I am pleased to let you know that your loved one’s aged care centre remains stable. We are at day 7 of being in outbreak but with the second resident testing positive later, the NSW Public Health Team class the service at day 5.
We continue to care for two COVID-19 positive residents at the care centre. The residents are both experiencing a range of symptoms from little at all to mild and are in good spirits, as staff continue to monitor them daily.
Residents in Sanctuary House were rapid antigen tested for COVID-19 yesterday and the results were negative. They remain in their rooms where they are being cared for by our staff and are being provided with a range of activities, such as puzzles and drawing books.
As a precaution, all residents at the care will be PCR tested for COVID-19 today. I will keep you informed of the results. As advised we will continue testing on an ongoing basis until day 12.
Visiting arrangements
Sanctuary House remains closed to visitors except for those making compassionate visits by arrangement with the Care Manager.
Visiting in all other areas of the care centre can continue as per the arrangements outlined for NSW Aged Care Centres on our website here.
Please do not visit the care centre if you are feeling unwell with even the mildest symptoms, or are awaiting the result of a PCR test.
Please pass this message on to others as you consider appropriate and if you have any questions please contact your Care Manager.
Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding.
Yours sincerely,
Nia Briguglio
