Dear family member/resident representative,
The purpose of this notice is to let you know about plans to construct 13 independent living units at IRT St Georges Basin Retirement Village adjacent to your loved one’s care centre.
We anticipate commencing construction in the second half of this calendar year, on the vacant land bordered by Meriton St and Loralyn Ave, in the southern corner of the existing community.
In 2008, IRT was granted a development application to build 18 independent living units, 5 of which were constructed in 2013. These works will now see the completion of the remaining 13 units.
All the units will be single-storey with a single-car garage. There will be seven 3-bedroom villas and six 2-bedroom villas.
The works will also include construction of associated infrastructure, such as roads, services and landscaping in accordance with the existing DA approval.
The expected build time for the entire project is 12 months, barring any unforeseen delays.
Contractors are currently carrying out inspections of the development site to locate existing services and assess trees to be cleared.
Our priority throughout the project will be to minimise noise and disruption to all residents, and we will keep you updated every step of the way on construction progress.
