Important information about IRT Thomas Holt Aged Care Centre

Dear family member/resident representative,

Thank you for your support as we continue to manage the risk of Rhinovirus at your loved one’s aged care centre.

Since writing to you last week I’m pleased to advise that two residents have fully recovered and are now free of the virus. We have also had no new cases of Rhinovirus at the care centre.

Two residents with the virus, located on Level 1 and Level 5 of the Flame Tree Building continue to isolate in their rooms, and we are monitoring them closely in consultation with their GPs, while one resident remains in hospital for further treatment.

We remain vigilant with all infection control protocols in place in accordance with our outbreak management plan.

Visiting arrangements

We strongly encourage you to reconsider any planned visits at this time. If you do proceed with a visit please assist staff by complying with the following arrangements:

• All visitors are asked to complete their own rapid antigen test at home or on arrival at the centre and provide proof of the negative result (photo or actual test).
• All visitors are to complete the wellness questionnaire at reception on arrival.
• All visitors are asked to wear a P2/N95 mask when visiting and other PPE as directed by staff.
• Please wear your PPE as instructed by staff. If a staff member asks you to adjust it they are doing so to protect you, your loved one, and all others living and working in the care centre.
