Dear family member/resident representative,
Thank you for your ongoing support as we manage the risk of COVID-19 at your loved one’s aged care centre.
Since writing to you on Wednesday, residents in Magnolia Cottage were PCR tested for COVID-19 and unfortunately another three residents have tested positive to COVID-19.
The three residents are full vaccinated and have been relocated to our COVID-19 wing on Level 1 of the aged care centre after consultation with their families.
We are now caring for a total of 12 positive residents at the aged care centre who are experiencing a range of symptoms from none at all to mild. They remain in good spirits, as they continue to be cared for and monitored by our staff.
As per the directions from the PHU, residents in Jacaranda Level 2 will be PCR tested today. If the results continue to be negative, the level of risk to these residents will be considered low and they will be able to meet with other residents outside of Level 2.
Visiting arrangements
We strongly encourage you to reconsider the need to visit your loved one with the increased risk of exposure at the aged care centre.
If you feel you must continue with your scheduled visit please proceed with caution. If visiting a loved one please do so only in their room, wearing all necessary PPE at all times.
Please do not visit the care centre if you are unwell with even the mildest symptoms, or if you are awaiting the result of a PCR test.
