Important information about IRT Thomas Holt Kirrawee Aged Care Centre

11 July 2022

Dear family member/resident representative,

Thank you for your support as we manage your loved one’s aged care centre in accordance with our outbreak management plan.

Since writing to you on Friday, we unfortunately have identified three more residents who are COVID-19 positive (two in Roden Cutler House and one in Magnolia). Following consultation with the residents and their family, these residents have now been relocated to our COVID-19 wing on level one in the Flame Tree Building.

We are now caring for six residents in our COVId-19 wing who are experiencing a range of symptoms from none at all to mild.

Due to the positive case in Magnolia, all of these residents were PCR tested on Saturday and the results were negative for all (except for our positive case). These residents are now being encouraged to remain within their rooms, where they are receiving their meals, to help reduce the risk of transmission within this house. Magnolia residents will be PCR tested again on Thursday 14 July.

Our Roden Cutler House residents were PCR tested again yesterday and pleasingly the results were negative. They will be PCR tested again on Wednesday 13 July.
