The IRT Board of Directors has appointed experienced executive and company director Patrick Reid to the position of IRT Group CEO.

Mr Reid has been performing the role of Interim IRT Group CEO since October last year. A Non-Executive Director of IRT Group since February 2017, he is a respected leader in the aged care sector and brings a wealth of experience to the role.

Mr Reid was most recently Director of Aged Care, Community and Disability with StewartBrown Chartered Accountants, where he assisted providers to implement best practices, identify improvement opportunities and create environments for organisations to thrive.

Prior to his last two years with StewartBrown, he was the immediate past CEO of Leading Age Services Australia (LASA), the peak body for aged care providers.

“The IRT Board is very pleased to welcome Patrick Reid as our new CEO,” said IRT Group Chair, Michael Halloran. “He is a respected leader in our sector and has very strong relationships with industry and government stakeholders.”

Mr Reid has held a number of key advisory roles with ACT and Australian Government. He was a long-term member of the Australian Government’s Aged Care Sector Committee, is a former Chairman of the Government’s Aged Care Workforce Advisory Group and was a member of the ACT Ministerial Advisory Council on Ageing.

Mr Reid is a Partner of the Capital Chemist Group and has held senior board roles with the Pharmacy Guild and the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia.

“Under Patrick’s leadership, IRT Group will continue to strengthen our focus on providing excellent care and accommodation to IRT residents and clients,” Mr Halloran said.

“The Board has every confidence in Patrick and the Leadership team to live IRT’s values of integrity, respect and trust, while continuing the growth and success of the business.”
