Ongoing restricted visiting arrangements at
IRT Woodlands Aged Care Centre

15 July 2021

Dear family member/resident representative

I am writing to provide you with an update regarding visiting restrictions at IRT Woodlands Aged Care Centre.

Following an announcement today regarding the ongoing risk of COVID-19 community transmission the Chief Health Officer has instructed that restricted visiting arrangements continue in aged care centres of south-east Queensland.

To this end, your loved one’s aged care centre will remain closed to all visitors except for essential visits only. These visits must be by arrangement with your Care Manager.

Resident outings

The Chief Health Officer has also directed that only essential outings for purposes such as for a medical appointment will be permitted.

More information about the Chief Health Officer’s directions for aged care centres can be found here.

Our staff remain committed to encouraging our residents to participate in a range of activities and where possible interact and engage with each other.

If you would like assistance connecting with your loved one via phone call or video call please do not hesitate to call your Care Manager.

Thank you for your support as we manage the changes presented by the pandemic.

Yours sincerely

Nia Briguglio
