Site audit at IRT Tarrawanna

23 March 2021

Dear family member/resident representative

We’ve been notified of a site audit taking place at IRT Tarrawanna Aged Care Centre by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.

The site audit has started today and is expected to take approximately three days to complete.

Site audits are common practice in the aged care industry and are conducted by the Commission. The purpose of site audits is to review the quality of care and services provided to residents and customers. It measures the performance of an aged care provider against all requirements of the Aged Care Quality Standards.

The Commissioner has appointed an Assessment Team to conduct the site audit at IRT Tarrawanna. Our staff are working with the Assessment Team to ensure they have access to all the information and documents they need.

As part of the site audit, the Assessment Team may also like to talk with you or your loved one and ask you questions about the care and services you receive from IRT.

Once the site audit is complete, the Assessment Team will provide IRT with a report that details the outcome of the assessment. Results of the assessment are made available on the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission website: www.agedcarequality.gov.au.

If you have any questions about the site audit at IRT Tarrawanna, please do not hesitate to contact your Care Manager Olivia Decker on (02) 4252 7000 or at odecker@irt.org.au.

Yours sincerely

Nia Briguglio
