Update on works at IRT Thomas Holt Sans Souci Gardens Aged Care Centre

The works that are still in progress are as follows:

• Kitchen upgrade including relining of the walls and flooring replacement
• Door signage upgrades in line with braille recommendations
• Replacement of hand rails in high traffic locations
• Flooring upgrades including carpet in lounge areas and vinyl in care suites and main staircase
• Replacement of lounge furniture on ground floor – this furniture has been ordered, however due to supply challenges, it may arrive after residents have already returned to Sans Souci Gardens
• King single bed upgrades – again, these have been ordered but they may arrive after residents have already returned
• Smart TV upgrades to all rooms

Returning residents to Sans Souci Gardens

We are planning to return all residents to Sans Souci Gardens on Tuesday 11 April 2023.

In preparation for the move, we would once again greatly appreciate any assistance that you can provide. Help is specifically sought after in regards to packing your loved one’s belongings.

Much like we did for the move to Kirrawee, we will:

• Return all residents’ belongings and clothing to their rooms at Sans Souci Gardens
• Transfer all residents and their medications from Kirrawee to Sans Souci Gardens via IRT bus or ambulance (depending on their clinical needs). Three staff will accompany the residents along with a Registered Nurse.

If you would prefer to transport your loved one to Sans Souci Gardens on Tuesday 11 April yourself, we will support you in this. Please let us know.
