Dear family member/resident representative,
Thank you for your ongoing support as we manage the risk of COVID-19 in your loved one’s aged care centre.
As you know the virus continues to spread within the community, affecting a fluctuating number of people including children and our most vulnerable older Australians.
While the risk of COVID-19 is high we remain focussed on keeping your loved one safe and our staff continue to apply all infection control protocols as they go about their work.
The staff and I also appreciate your contribution to ensuring our residents’ safety when you visit. I know that the current restricted arrangements including a limit on visitor numbers and the requirement for regular rapid antigen tests are challenging for some but I am grateful for your ongoing support.
Due to the continued risk, and until there is a more stable outlook, the current arrangements for visitors to your loved one’s aged care centre will remain in place.
Visiting arrangements
Residents can have two visitors over 12 years of age per day and by appointment only.
Please continue to wear your PPE at all times while in the centre, including P2/N95 masks and eye protection. When visiting you will be asked to provide evidence of a negative PCR or an IRT-conducted rapid antigen test from the past 72 hours. If you do not have evidence of a negative test, you will be required to undertake a rapid antigen test (supplied by IRT) prior to entry.
