What’s age got to do with it?

Please join us on Wednesday 8 April from 9am-11.30am at Worrigee Sports for this free workshop co-hosted by the Australian Human Rights Commission and Age Matters.

What age got to do with it?

Join us for an interactive workshop that will examine the assumptions and stereotypes commonly associated with ageing and older people.

Backed by research, this workshop is a must for individuals and organisations who work with older people, or who want to create an engaged and effective community.

What to expect?

  • Engage in self-reflection exercises and small group discussions to explore your own attitudes and beliefs about age.
  • Develop an understanding of the social and cultural factors that shape these perceptions.
  • Challenge stereotypes about older people and their capacity, health outcomes, needs and wants.
  • Increase your knowledge and skills for developing and implementing age-friendly initiatives.

Morning tea will be provided.
