Your fees depend on a few key factors. These include which program you’re accessing, your level of need, and the services you choose. If you’re eligible for Government funding, this will cover most of your costs, and we’ll always explain any out-of-pocket contributions clearly, so there are no surprises. Here’s what shapes your cost:
Whether you’re Government-funded through CHSP or Support at Home, or accessing care privately, shapes what you contribute.
Clinical services like nursing are free for funded participants. Other services attract a contribution based on your circumstances.
Standard weekday rates differ from evenings, weekends and public holidays.
There are three main ways to access home care in Australia. Your pathway shapes your care services, how much the government covers and how much you contribute. Not sure where you fit? Our team is happy to help you work it out.
Entry level support, subsidised by the Government, for older Australians needing a hand with daily tasks including cleaning, personal care and transport.
Subsidised support, for people with more complex or ongoing needs who want extra coordinated support to stay at home.
Full cost, self-funded support with no assessment required, for those who’d prefer to arrange care privately, or aren’t yet eligible for Government funding.
Applying for government funding starts with a free assessment through My Aged Care, the government’s aged care gateway. This helps determine the level of support you’re eligible for.
