Enabling the community care workforce in rural areas

21 June 2018

Growing numbers of older people residing in rural areas require an appropriately trained workforce to provide much needed community-based aged care.

Local training is provided through vocational educational agencies, such as regional TAFE Institutes. This research will investigate what is needed to deliver the skills and training required to provide effective and quality care to enhance older people’s independence and choice to remain at home.
