Dear family member/resident representative,
Thank you for your ongoing support as we manage the risk of COVID-19 at your loved one’s aged care centre.
As you know, I wrote to you last week to inform you of three positive COVID-19 residents at the aged care centre. I am pleased to let you know that the residents have now reached their recovery criteria and have received GP clearance.
You may recall that two of the positive residents had been relocated to our dedicated IRT COVID-19 wing in Kirrawee and they are also scheduled to return to the care centre tomorrow.
With this pleasing news, we have been able to ease a number of precautionary measures in place which includes all other residents being able to leave their rooms and socialise within their area.
In line with guidance from the NSW Public Health Unit, residents were rapid antigen tested today and all of the results were negative. Residents will also be required to have their final PCR test in the coming days and I will keep you informed of the results.
Visiting arrangements
As previously outlined, if visiting a loved one please do so only in their room, wearing all necessary PPE at all times.
All visitors will be asked to undergo a rapid antigen test each time they enter. So, if you visit each day, you must be tested daily.
Please do not visit if you are unwell with even the mildest symptoms, or if you are awaiting the result of a PCR test.
For all other details of our visiting requirements for NSW aged care centres please see here.
Please pass this message on to others as you consider appropriate and if you have any questions please contact your Care Manager.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Yours sincerely,
Nia Briguglio
