Improvements at IRT Tarrawanna Aged Care Centre

Dear family member/resident representative,

I am writing to you to let you know about some painting improvements we have planned for your loved one’s care centre.

Why are the improvements being proposed?

As part of our ongoing commitment to ensure our aged care centres are safe, clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, we will be painting all the dining rooms, lounge rooms and corridors across the site.

Paint colours:

• Vanilla Quake Quarter Strength will be used on all common areas, corridors, walls and on the doors of non-resident rooms.
• Lexicon Quarter Strength Semi-Gloss will be used on trim finish, skirting and architraves.
• Winter Green will be used on the doors of residents’ rooms in Lorikeet and Rosella.
• Hailstorm will be used on the doors of residents’ rooms in Kookaburra.
• Back Country Aqua Satin Enamel will be used on the doors of residents’ rooms in Cockatoo and Kingfisher.

When will the work be done?

Painting works are due to start on 1 September 2025 and will take approximately 8 weeks to complete.

What does it mean for my loved one?

The works are not expected to cause any significant disruption to normal site operations however; there will be trade workers moving about inside and wet paint in areas while the painting is being done. Some doorways may need to remain open to allow time for the paint to dry.

No painting works are being done in residents’ rooms.
