25 August 2025
Dear family member/resident representative,
This notice is to inform you that Sydney Water’s contractor, Interflow, will be conducting urgent repairs to the wastewater system behind the IRT’s Thomas Holt Kirrawee Aged Care Centre Flametree building. This work will help ensure Sydney Water’s wastewater systems remain reliable to protect public health and the environment.
These works will start Monday 25 August, and will take approximately 12 weeks to complete, weather permitting. The hours of work will be 7:00am-6:00pm Monday to Friday, and 8:00am-5:00pm on Saturdays if required.
What to expect
During the work, there may be an increase in:
Safety and risk management
The safety and wellbeing of residents, staff and visitors remains our highest priority throughout these works. Interflow will have a range of measures in place to minimise disruptions and maintain a safe environment, including clearly marked work zones, spotters, traffic management and regular coordination with the care centre team.
What does this mean for staff and visitors?
We recommend that you allow extra time when you are visiting your loved one, as there will be traffic controls in place.
Parking in the immediate area behind the Flametree building may be limited, so please keep this in mind when you intend visiting your loved one.
We will monitor the project closely throughout and minimise impacts on residents wherever possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your Care Manager.
Yours sincerely
Belinda Pheeney
Operations Manager – Sydney Aged Care Centres
