Important information about IRT Crown Gardens Aged Care Centre

10 August 2022

Dear family member/resident representative,

I am writing to let you know that one resident has tested positive to COVID-19 at your loved one’s aged care centre and we are now acting as a matter of precaution to ensure the level of risk at the care centre is reduced.

All of our residents remain well and are not displaying any COVID-19 symptoms. In further positive news, all residents (except the one resident who tested positive) have been tested via the PCR method and all results have come back negative.

As a precaution, all residents will be tested via the PCR method again today. We will also be conducting ongoing precautionary testing over the next couple of days and will keep you informed of the results and any new information we receive.

Residents are isolating in their rooms where they are being supported by staff with their care needs, served their meals, and activities to suit a range of interests.

Visiting arrangements

The centre remains open to visitors as per the arrangements outlined on our website for NSW Aged Care Centres here.

However with the risk of exposure at the care centre, we encourage you reconsider your need to visit and, if not possible, to exercise caution if you do go ahead with your plans to visit.

Please do not visit the care centre if you are unwell with even the mildest symptoms, or if you are awaiting the result of a PCR test.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Yours sincerely

Nia Briguglio
