Dear family member/resident representative,
I am writing to provide you with an update on your loved one’s aged care centre.
I am pleased to let you know that we have received the results of the PCR tests conducted on all residents on Wednesday and they are all negative.
As per directions from the NSW Public Health Unit, residents in Crookhaven House will be PCR tested again today. As this is their day 12 test, if the results continue to be negative, we will be able to ease a number of restrictions in this House including a resumption of visiting from next week.
With the pleasing news of negative results for all residents in Currarong House, these residents will be able to leave their rooms and join the rest of the care centre.
Visiting the care centre
I am pleased to let you know that from tomorrow visiting can resume for Currarong House, as per the arrangements outlined for the rest of the care centre (excluding Crookhaven House).
You can find the arrangements outlined for NSW Aged Care Centres here.
Visitors must go to reception on arrival to complete a wellness screening, including a mandatory rapid antigen test.
Please do not visit the care centre if you are feeling unwell with even the mildest symptoms, or are awaiting the result of a PCR test.
As previously outlined, at this stage Crookhaven House remains closed to all visitors except for compassionate visits by arrangements with the Care Manager.
Please pass this message on to other family members as you deem appropriate.
If you have any questions, please contact Care Manager Elizabeth Lowey who has returned from leave.
Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation.
Yours sincerely,
Nia Briguglio
