Dear family member/resident representative,
Thank you for your ongoing support as we manage the risk of COVID-19 at your loved one’s aged care centre.
I am pleased to let you know that today two of our remaining four positive residents have reached their recovery criteria and will join the rest of the care centre out of their room.
We are caring for two final positive residents, who are both stable and tracking well to their recovery. One is due to be cleared on Sunday whilst the other is still experiencing mild symptoms. They will remain in their room until they have been asymptomatic for three days as per guidance from the NSW Public Health Unit.
Residents in Wagonga and those identified as closed contacts were rapid antigen tested on Wednesday and the results were all negative. With this news, yesterday we received guidance from the NSW Public Health Unit that we are able to begin our transition back to regular operations at the aged care centre.
From today we will ease a number of precautions in place, including the commencement of meals in the dining room which our residents are pleased about.
Updated visiting arrangements
With this positive news, I am pleased to provide you with updated visiting arrangements at your loved one’s aged care centre. The following arrangements now apply:
Please do not visit the care centre if you are unwell with even the mildest symptoms (even if you test negative on your rapid antigen test), or if you are awaiting the result of a PCR test. Symptoms of respiratory infection can indicate a range of contagious viruses including COVID-19 and influenza.
Please pass this message on to others as you consider appropriate and if you have any questions please contact your Care Manager.
Thank you for your support.
Yours sincerely,
Nia Briguglio
