IRT Group explores redevelopment plans for IRT Sarah Claydon

IRT Group is talking with residents and the local community about future redevelopment plans for IRT Sarah Claydon Retirement Village on the NSW South Coast.
Built early in IRT’s 50 year history, IRT Sarah Claydon covers approximately 2.6 hectares close to Milton Township.
IRT Group CEO Patrick Reid said the organisation wants to talk with as many people in the community as possible about the future of IRT Sarah Claydon to gather their thoughts on key design features to be incorporated into the master plan.
“At this early stage we don’t have a finalised design plan and are committed to applying feedback from residents, employees and the community into the design and layout of the future IRT Sarah Claydon Retirement Village.”
“With 50 years of experience behind us, we have an understanding of what people are seeking but are always interested to learn more from people currently living in a retirement community or who may join one in the future.”
Drop-in community discussions will be held on Thursday 7 November and Friday 8 November from 10am to 1pm at Peach Café, 7/97 Princes Highway Milton NSW 2538. Anyone with an interest in sharing their views for the future design of IRT Sarah Claydon Retirement Village and the communal areas shared with the co-located Aged Care Centre is encouraged to attend.
IRT will also conduct collaborative design workshops to seek additional in-depth community input on potential shared facilities, social spaces, design features to support priority interests and activities and the interior and exterior design of retirement village accommodation.
Interested parties are also invited to submit feedback online at www.irt.org.au/irtsarahclaydon
Community feedback is being gathered through to the end of 2019 with master planning and facility design expected to be in progress by early 2020. A development application is targeted for submission later in the year.
