An update about IRT Woodlands Aged Care Centre

09 February 2023

Dear family member/resident representative,

Thank you for your support as we have managed your loved one’s aged care centre in accordance with our outbreak management plan.

I am pleased to let you know that all residents who had been experiencing gastroenteritis-like symptoms have recovered and are enjoying a resumption of regular activities.

Since writing to you earlier this week, there have been no further cases in Acacia or Boronia wings.

Our Acacia wing resident who had tested positive for COVID-19 when transferred to hospital has returned to us and is continuing their recovery as we care for them in their room.

Precautionary PCR tests for all other residents in Acacia Wing were completed yesterday and in more good news, all results received were negative.

With clearance from the local public health we are now able to declare the outbreak to be over, and regular operations can resume.

Visiting arrangements

Regular visiting arrangements can now resume. To refresh your memory on the requirements please read the information below:

More details on our visiting arrangements can be found here.

Please pass this message on to others as you consider appropriate. If you have any questions please contact your Care Manager.

Thank you for your support.

Yours sincerely

Kevin Donahoe

General Manager Queensland
