Bed upgrades at IRT Five Islands Aged Care Centre

Dear family member/resident representative,

As part of our commitment to ensuring equipment at your loved-one’s aged care centre is safe, well-maintained and comfortable, we have arranged for all residents’ beds and mattresses to be upgraded.

Your loved one will soon receive a new king single bed and mattress, along with new linen, blankets and bedspreads.

The new beds will be delivered on the following dates:

• Monday 5 December 2022 – House One, rooms 1 to 14 and House Two, rooms 15 to 20.
• Tuesday 6 December 2022 – House Two, rooms 21 to 27 and House Three, rooms 28 to 40.

It is expected that it will take six hours each day to complete the exchange from old to new beds.

You and your loved one do not have to do anything. IRT staff will be on hand throughout the process to make sure residents are safe and comfortable while their bed is being replaced.
