Dear family member/resident representative,
Thank you for your patience as we have managed the risk of COVID-19 at your loved one’s aged care centre.
I am pleased to let you know that all residents in Bottlebrush and Grevillea who had previously tested positive for COVID-19 have now reached their recovery criteria and are free of the virus. With this good news and with no further positive results from our routine testing regime, the public health unit has declared the outbreak is resolved and we are now preparing to revert to regular operations and activities.
To this end, if you are planning to visit, unless otherwise informed when you arrive on site, there is no requirement to wear a mask in any area of the care centre.
Please note the requirements for rapid antigen testing still apply – all visitors must provide proof of a negative rapid antigen test completed within the past 72 hours before entry.
For further information about our visiting arrangements please go to our website here.
If there is an outbreak in your loved one’s care centre we will do our best to let you know in a timely manner, however when more than one resident tests positive to a virus we must act swiftly to minimise the risk by implementing our outbreak management plan. This may happen before we can let you know.
For this reason the arrangements outlined above are subject to change at short notice and all visitors to the care centre, regardless of the area being visited, should be prepared to wear extra PPE on arrival if requested by staff. You may like to phone the care centre before your visit to check.
Reminder: As always, please do not visit if you are feeling unwell, regardless of your RAT result.
Please pass this message on to others as you consider appropriate and if you have any questions please contact your Care Manager.
Thank you for your support.
Yours sincerely
Kellie Daly
