Dear family member/resident representative,
Thank you for your ongoing support as we manage the risk of COVID-19 at your loved one’s aged care centre.
Since writing to you last week, I am pleased to let you know that the centre remains stable.
We continue to care for four residents with COVID-19 who are experiencing symptoms ranging from mild to none at all. They are all making good progress towards their recovery.
We are monitoring a number of residents who were identified as close contacts to the positive cases, and they all are returning negative results to precautionary rapid antigen test and PCR test.
While progress at the centre is encouraging, we will continue to manage the centre according to our Outbreak Management Plan until the risk of exposure is significantly reduced.
Visiting arrangements
As I previously wrote to you, we strongly encourage you to reconsider the need to visit your loved one.
If you feel you must continue with your scheduled visit please proceed with caution. If visiting a loved one please do so only in their room, wearing all necessary PPE at all times.
With the increase in case numbers at the care centre, visitors under the age of 12 are not permitted.
Please do not visit the care centre if you are unwell with even the mildest symptoms, or if you are awaiting the result of a PCR test.
If you choose not to visit the Lifestyle Team can assist where needed to connect residents with family and friends by phone or video call.
