Dear family member/resident representative,
I am writing to let you know that we are currently caring for four residents who have COVID-19 in the Mimosa and Budawang units of your loved one’s aged care centre.
The residents are regarded as stable and are experiencing some mild symptoms such as a cough and sore throat. The residents are being encouraged to remain in their rooms where they are being monitored regularly in consultation with their GP.
In accordance with the Public Health Unit requirements and our own outbreak management plan, residents of the care centre will commence precautionary COVID-19 testing, with a round to be conducted on Wednesday 3 April in the Budawang unit and Thursday 4 April in the Mimosa unit.
If your loved one returns a positive result, we will let you know by phone and continue to provide you with regular updates regarding their progress.
Visiting arrangements
If you do continue with your plans to visit the care centre, the following arrangements apply:
All other visiting arrangements continue to apply. You can find more information about our visiting arrangements on our website here.
As always please do not visit your loved one if you are experiencing any symptoms or are feeling unwell, even if the symptoms are mild. Even if you have a negative COVID-19 test result you may still have a contagious respiratory infection.
Please pass this message on to others as you consider appropriate and if you have any questions please contact your Care Manager.
Thank you for your support.
Yours sincerely
Debbie Andrews
