Important information about IRT Woonona Aged Care Centre

Dear family member/resident representative,

I’m writing to provide you with an update as we’ve managed the risk of a contagious skin infection at your loved one’s care centre.

I’m pleased to advise that all residents in the Teatree Wing of Flametree Ground Floor responded well to their second round of treatment and have now fully recovered.

With endorsement from the local Public Health Unit we have now formally ceased operating the care centre in accordance with our outbreak management plan and all residents are now able to leave their rooms and resume normal activities.

Visiting arrangements at the care centre have also returned to normal, and you can find more information about visiting your loved one on our website here.

Remember if you are experiencing any symptoms or are feeling unwell, even if the symptoms are mild, please do not visit. Even if you have a negative COVID-19 test result you may still have another type of infection which is highly contagious.
