Organisational changes – IRT Woodlands Aged Care Centre

06 July 2022

Dear family member/resident representative,

I am writing to let you know about a restructure of IRT’s operating model for the management of our sites and services in Queensland.

This change of model sees our Woodlands aged care centre come together with our home care and retirement living services across the state, with all reporting to the newly formed role of General Manager Queensland.

Kevin Donahoe, our current Retirement Villages Regional Manager for Qld, ACT and Sydney has been appointed to the role with the change effective from 1 August 2022.

A key objective for this change is to deliver enhanced opportunities for our customers and residents to experience the benefits of connection within a local community environment while still retaining the support of our larger organisation.

There will be no change to the delivery of the services you receive, and any questions or concerns you have will continue to be managed by your Care Manager, Alison Rose. From 1 August all correspondence like this message will come from Kevin Donahoe, General Manager Queensland.

I am continuing in my role as Executive General Manager Aged Care Centres, leading our teams in NSW and ACT.

I want to personally thank you for your support and understanding, particularly as we have managed the risk of COVID-19 in the past 2 years, and continue to do so today.

I have counted it a personal privilege to lead the exceptional team caring for your loved one and I know that under Kevin’s leadership this level of care will continue.

I know that your loved one will be in good hands I wish you and them the very best.

Yours sincerely,

Nia Briguglio
