Important information about IRT Crown Gardens Aged Care Centre

07 March 2022

Dear family member/resident representative,

I am writing to provide you with an update about your loved one’s aged care centre.

As you may recall, I wrote to you last week to inform you of a COVID-19 exposure at the aged care centre. I am pleased that everything remains stable and that no residents are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19.

Residents were rapid antigen tested over the weekend and all returned a negative result. In line with guidance from the NSW Public Health Unit, residents are being PCR tested today. I will keep you informed of the results.

Visiting arrangements

The centre remains open to visitors as per the arrangements outlined for NSW Aged Care Centres here.

As previously outlined, with the increased risk of exposure at the care centre, we strongly urge that you reconsider your need to visit and, if not possible, to exercise caution if a scheduled visit must go ahead.

Please do not visit the care centre if you are unwell with even the mildest symptoms, or if you are awaiting the result of a PCR test.

Please pass this message on to others as you consider appropriate and if you have any questions please contact your Care Manager.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Yours sincerely,

Nia Briguglio
