Dear family member/resident representative,
I am writing to provide you with an update about your loved one’s aged care centre.
As you may recall I wrote to you last week to inform you of a COVID-19 exposure at the aged care centre.
As a precaution residents were being supported by staff in their rooms where they received their meals and we implemented an ongoing COVID-19 testing regime in consultation with the NSW Public Health Unit.
On Monday, all residents were PCR tested on day 12 since the exposure and I am pleased to let you know that all of the results were negative.
With the news of the negative results, we are now able to reduce the precautionary measures in place and transition the centre out of exposure. I am grateful to our residents for their patience and cooperation over the past two weeks; as I am also very grateful for the commitment of our staff to caring and supporting your loved one during this challenging time.
Visiting arrangements
The visiting arrangements at the aged care centre remain unchanged, with residents able to have two visitors per day, by appointment only.
You can find all other details of visiting arrangements here, including the need to wear a P2/N95 mask and eye protection at all times while in the care centre.
All visitors must sign in at reception and complete a mandatory wellness screening, including a rapid antigen test prior to entry.
Please do not visit the care centre if you are unwell with even the mildest symptoms, or if you are awaiting the result of a PCR test.
Please pass this message on to others as you consider appropriate and if you have any questions please contact your Care Manager.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Yours sincerely,
Nia Briguglio
