Dear family member/resident representative,
I am pleased to let you know that the results of yesterday’s COVID-19 tests on our residents were all negative.
With this pleasing news we have begun easing all precautionary measures at the care centre, and are looking forward to welcoming visitors back from Friday 18 February.
Over the weekend our resident who had tested positive was transferred to hospital for additional treatment and is expected to return today.
All other residents remain well with no COVID-19 symptoms and from today are free to leave their rooms to join others in the dining areas and common areas.
Visiting arrangements – reminder
From Friday all residents are permitted two visitors over 12 years of age per day by appointment only.
Visitors must wear additional PPE at all times while in the centre, including P2/N95 masks and eye protection. Visitors will need to provide evidence of a negative PCR or an IRT-conducted rapid antigen test from the past 72 hours. If you do not have evidence of a negative test, you will be required to undertake a rapid antigen test (supplied by IRT) prior to entry.

As always, do not visit your loved one if you are experiencing any symptoms or are feeling unwell, even if the symptoms are mild or if you are awaiting a PCR result.
Arrangements subject to change
The above visiting arrangements are subject to change should any residents return negative test results or if we receive any information regarding a new COVID-19 exposure at the care centre. I will let you know if this happens.
