Dear family member/resident representative,
As you may recall, I wrote to you last week to inform you that a resident at your loved one’s aged care centre had tested positive for COVID-19 after returning from an outing.
I am pleased to inform you that today, in consultation with the NSW Public Health Unit, we will be easing a number of precautions in place at the care centre as the positive resident has returned two negative PCR tests.
Residents have come out of their rooms and are able to meet in the common areas of the care centre for meals and other social activities.
Visiting arrangements
I am also pleased that restricted visiting to the centre can resume from Thursday 17 February.
Residents are able to have two visitors over 12 years of age per day by appointment only.
Visitors must wear additional PPE at all times while in the centre, including P2/N95 masks and eye protection. Visitors will need to provide evidence of a negative PCR or an IRT-conducted rapid antigen test from the past 72 hours. If you do not have evidence of a negative test, you will be required to undertake a rapid antigen test (supplied by IRT) prior to entry.
All other details regarding visiting arrangements can be found here.
Welcome to our new Care Manager
I also wanted to take this opportunity to introduce our new Care Manager at IRT Moruya, Neenu Baby.
Please join me in welcoming Neenu.
I am writing to you as you are the person identified in our records as your loved one’s nominated representative. Please pass this message on to others as you consider appropriate.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Yours sincerely,
Nia Briguglio
